NAWIC: The leading association for women in construction

The National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) empowers women across all sectors of the construction industry through education, networking, and community involvement. Founded in 1953, NAWIC has grown to include over 115 chapters nationwide.

Chartered on August 16, 1958, the Greater Little Rock Chapter 12 is proud to be part of that legacy. We host monthly meetings featuring industry speakers, educational sessions, and networking opportunities. Our chapter also leads community service projects and collaborates with other construction-related organizations to support professional growth and business development.

In addition to supporting women currently in the industry, we’re passionate about engaging the next generation. We welcome student members and offer an annual scholarship. Whether it’s through financial support, mentorship, or career connections, we are strong advocates for workforce development and building the future of construction.

Active, Engaged, and Community-Focused

Our chapter stays busy year-round with programs, projects, and events that educate, connect, and give back. Meetings feature speakers from across the construction industry, and we offer educational opportunities for both children and adults.

We proudly support our community through initiatives like collecting items for the Rise House Domestic Violence Shelter, hosting the Valentine’s Day Dance for students at the Arkansas School for the Deaf, and organizing the Block Kids Competition. Our annual Bowling Tournament—our biggest fundraiser—helps fund scholarships, education, and community outreach.

We also provide plenty of networking opportunities, from collaborations with other industry groups to member-only events designed for connection and fun.
