NAWIC: The leading association for women in construction
The National Association of Women in Construction (NAWIC) empowers women across all sectors of the construction industry through education, networking, and community involvement. Founded in 1953, NAWIC has grown to include over 115 chapters nationwide.
Chartered on August 16, 1958, the Greater Little Rock Chapter 12 is proud to be part of that legacy. We host monthly meetings featuring industry speakers, educational sessions, and networking opportunities. Our chapter also leads community service projects and collaborates with other construction-related organizations to support professional growth and business development.
In addition to supporting women currently in the industry, we’re passionate about engaging the next generation. We welcome student members and offer an annual scholarship. Whether it’s through financial support, mentorship, or career connections, we are strong advocates for workforce development and building the future of construction.

The NAWIC Greater Little Rock Chapter is active year-round, offering programs, events, and opportunities that inspire learning, build relationships, and make a difference in our community.
Education and professional development are important parts of our chapter. Our membership meetings feature speakers from across the construction industry, providing valuable insights, resources, and opportunities for growth. We also support educational programs that introduce children and adults to the many opportunities available in construction.
Giving back to our community is at the heart of what we do. From collecting essential items for Rise House Domestic Violence Shelter and hosting a Valentine’s Day Dance for students at the Arkansas School for the Deaf to organizing our annual NEF Block Kids Building Program, our members are committed to making a positive impact. Our annual Bowling Tournament, our largest fundraiser, helps support scholarships, educational initiatives, and community outreach.
Building meaningful connections is just as important. Through partnerships with other industry organizations, networking events, and member-only gatherings, we create opportunities to connect, collaborate, and enjoy time together.
